harvestheart: Holy Island Moon - Comment and photography by Karen Atkinson www.flickr.com/photos/ka1/ As I squinted into the distance (must get my glasses fixed;) and wondered what that faint orange glow was in the distance, suddenly there was no doubt - a waning Gibbous of a fat moon, illuminating the causeway at Holy Island last night before the clouds devoured it up. What a fine birthday surprise - it made up for having been pebbledashed with sand and sea earlier at Bamburgh after trying to get closer to a bobbing seal…! Never to be forgotten.
